MATERIALS AND PRODUCTION
• 100% beautiful loose weave cotton, block-printed and hand-quilted in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The fabric comes from a small family business run by a young man named Awani. "I have a shop in Sanganer where we do all the work—printing, quilting, cutting, stitching etc. The work we do with fabrics is our traditional work, done by my father and grandfather," he says.
You may notice a loose thread end in the fabric quilting. This is not a defect and is a feature of traditional kantha quilting.
100% cotton binding.
• Sewn in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania (KoP is just outside Philly, you might have heard of the giant shopping mall there). The two women who sew the jackets are Melanie and Xristina, who both otherwise sew full-time for outdoor brands like Patagonia and Canada Goose.
• Designed and shipped from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
ABOUT THE PRICE
No, The Jacket isn't cheap. Operating at a small scale, using hand-printed, hand-quilted fabric, and hiring American workers means the math is what it is. Your investment in a Jacket means the world to me. I hope you'll choose one of these fabulous pieces for yourself, your daughters, or someone else you love.
RETURNS
If you don't seriously love The Jacket, send it back unworn and unwashed within 30 days of receipt and I'll refund you, no questions asked.
CARE
• Spot clean.
• When necessary, hand wash in cold water.
• Machine washing isn't recommended, but if you're gonna do it anyway, use a delicate cycle, cold water, and don't tumble dry.
Indigo styles in particular will fade dramatically with repeated washing.
Wow, you made it all the way down here? You're awesome.
Love,
Zoe
